Cricketers are often loved by most of the people who follow the game. In fact, in India players like Sachin Tendulkar are even treated as God. The famous star gets all the fame as well as the name when they are at the peak of their career. However, there are some exceptional cricketers who have drawn a negative response from the audience.
These players are involved in some of the controversies – which leads to an increase in their haters. The controversy can include fixing or a crasser comment made by the player himself, which lands them into trouble and eventually leads to raising in the hater’s list.

5. Mushfiqur Rahim

Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim had drawn flak when he had tweeted that happiness is to watch India lose the semifinal against West Indies in the 2016 T20 World Cup. Earlier, India had defeated Bangladesh in the league stage match by mere one run.
Later, Rahim went on to delete his post. However, the post went viral on social media and the wicketkeeper-batsman added haters to his bag since that moment. Meanwhile, Mushfiqur Rahim has thus far scored 5558 runs in 205 ODI matches at an average of 34.74.
4. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya was the talk of the town when he made crasser comments on Koffee With Karan. The Baroda all-rounder made misogynist comments and had to pay the prize. Subsequently, not only Pandya was suspended from the India National Cricket Team but also he added haters for himself.
Pandya had made immature comments and he went on to realise his comments landed him in troubled waters. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya made a roaring comeback and had a successful season in the 12th edition of the IPL as he scored 402 runs at a strike rate of 191.
3. Russel Arnold

Former Sri Lankan batsman Russel Arnold is often trolled on social media. Arnold mostly makes biased comments for his team and he adds more haters with such comments. Even in the commentary box, Arnold is always optimistic of Sri Lanka’s win even when they are down and out.
The former southpaw batsman scored 3950 runs in the 180 One Day Internationals at an average of 35.27. Furthermore, the part-time spinner scalped 40 wickets in the 50-overs format.
2. Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed is known to expect Superman efforts from his teammates. In fact, the wicketkeeper-batsman is always seen demanding extra from his players. Furthermore, Ahmed can be harsh on his own players as he is often seen criticizing them for their efforts. Thus, Sarfraz Ahmed adds more pressure on the young players who feel the wrath of their captain’s commands.
Subsequently, Sarfraz Ahmed is not loved around the globe. Furthermore, Sarfraz Ahmed had made a racist comment on South African all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo. This incident also added to Sarfraz Ahmed’s haters.

1. Andrew Symonds

Australia’s all-rounder was involved in the controversy with India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Symonds was deeply criticized for his actions and had to face the wrath of the fans. In fact, Symonds could not come back into the International level after that incident.
The right-hander went on to score 5088 runs in the 198 One Day Internationals he played for Australia.
