The IPL has provided the platform to the young generation which has helped the players in taking giant strides in their respective careers.

In fact, IPL has provided a chance to the players to play in front of the jam-packed crowd. Furthermore, the crunch situations help the young players in getting a taste of the upcoming challenges of their career. Moreover, the young blood gets an opportunity to play with and against one of the best in the business, which helps them to observe and learn from their idols.

Similarly, there are many players who are the products of IPL since its inception in 2008. Let’s take a look at five players who are the by-products of the Indian Premier League.

Yusuf Pathan was able to impress in the maiden season of the Indian Premier League. The combative batsman scored 435 runs in the inaugural edition of the IPL. Consequently, he was instrumental in the success of the Rajasthan Royals in the first season of the extravagant T20 league. Pathan also received his chance in the India National Cricket Team after a good show in the IPL.

Meanwhile, Yusuf Pathan currently plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad and the pugnacious batsman has the skills to change the course of the match. Pathan also had a decent 2010 season as he scored 333 runs.

Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra was able to impress in the Indian Premier League. The veteran leg-spinner made his name in the IPL as he took giant strides in India’s cash-rich tournament. In fact, Amit Mishra is the second highest wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League folklore. The talisman leg-spinner has taken a total of 146 wickets in 136 IPL matches.

Amit has bowled with an impressive average of 24.14. Furthermore, he bowled with an economy of 7.39 in the domestic T20 league. Subsequently, his good performances even helped him in getting his place in the ODI side.

Mishra scalped 64 wickets in 36 One Day Internationals as he bowled with an average of 23.62 and gave his runs at an economy of 4.73 while playing for the national side. Furthermore, Amit Mishra has also scalped a hat-trick in IPL.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya attracted the eyeballs in the Indian Premier League while playing for Mumbai Indians. Pandya was able to impress in the T20 league which helped him earn the call to the India National Cricket Team.

Subsequently, the Baroda all-rounder was able to grab his chance after impressing in the Indian Premier League. Pandya ticked the right boxes with both bat and bowl. Furthermore, Pandya proved that he is a gun fielder.

Pandya has thus far played 50 IPL matches in which he has scored 666 runs. Moreover, Pandya has taken 28 wickets in his IPL career. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has shown the promise to be a potential all-rounder for India.

Pragyan Ojha

Pragyan Ojha was able to make his mark in the Indian Premier League. The southpaw spinner was instrumental in the success of the Deccan Chargers in IPL 2009. The left-handed spinner took 18 wickets in 15 matches in the second season of the league. Subsequently, he went on to make his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2009. Ojha scalped 113 wickets in 24 Test matches he played for the Indian side.

On the other hand, Ojha scalped 89 wickets in 92 IPL matches he played. The off-spinner took 21 wickets in 18 One Day Internationals for the Men in  Blue.

Jasprit Bumrah

When Jasprit Bumrah came into the IPL, there were question marks over his action. However, Bumrah was able to put everything to rest with his impressive show. Bumrah kept showing an upward swing in his improvement graph as he ticked the right boxes.

Bumrah also kept growing in confidence under the tutelage of Lasith Malinga. The prodigy fast bowler soon became the yorker king as he was able to find the blockhole with great accuracy.

Bumrah has scalped 63 wickets in 61 IPL matches as he has bowled with an average of 28.61. Furthermore, the talisman pacer had a stellar year in his maiden year of Test cricket. Bumrah has taken 49 wickets in 10 Test matches.
