The former Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar sent his birthday wish to Gautam Gambhir. The Master Blaster said he fondly remembers Gautam Gambhir innings in the World Cup final. Gambhir had scored 97 in the final against Sri Lanka to help India get close to the target. Gambhir had put on a fine partnership with captain MS Dhoni after India had lost three wickets.

In fact, Gambhir had also scored a fine 75 in the final of the World T20 in 2007 to help India in winning the inaugural edition. Thus, Gautam Gambhir was the man of the crucial matches for India as he played two imperative knocks in the final of major tournaments.

Gautam Gambhir is the man of the finals.

One more knock of Gautam Gambhir for which he is well-known is a gutsy inning of unbeaten 137 in the Napier Test which helped India in drawing the match against New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the southpaw batsman is celebrating his 37th birthday today. He is also leading Delhi in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Delhi is playing against Haryana in the ongoing quarterfinal contest of the tournament.

On the other hand, Gautam Gambhir had savoured great success while leading Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He had taken the franchise to glory on two occasions in the Twenty20 league.

Meanwhile, Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar shared a great bond while playing for India. In fact, one of the most memorable wins for both of them was the World Cup triumph.

Gambhir played some fine knocks for the Indian team. Sachin Tendulkar took to his Twitter handle to wish Gambhir on his birthday.
