Former Cricketer Manoj Prabhakar And His Family Booked Under Cheating And Trespassing Case

Former Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar and his actress wife Farheen were booked in a criminal case by the Delhi Police on Thursday. They filed a case on the basis of an FIR lodged by London-based NRI, Sandhya Sharma Pandit.

In the FIR lodged with Malviya Nagar police station, Sandhya has alleged that Prabhakar, backed by a few top politicians, connived with police officers and fraudulently sold off her flat in Sarvapriya Vihar in South Delhi. When Sandhya tried to approach the couple, she was threatened with dire consequences by Manoj Prabhakar’s Farheen.

As per police information, a few of the neighbours informed Sandhya Sharma Pandit that someone is staying in her flat. In September, she came to Delhi and when tried to enter the flat, however, the occupant denied entry to her.

“The woman claimed that when she tried to raised the issue, she was threatened with dire consequences. She claimed that her flat was encroached upon by Prabhakar and others on the basis of forged documents,” said the officer.

After an initial investigation, the police has found Manoj Goyal, who is also one of the accused helped Manoj Prabhakar to forge the property documents. However, the police are yet to call to Prabhakar for any investigation.

“After going through initial investigation, a case has been registered at Malviya Nagar police station. We will call Prabhakar for questioning,” said a police officer.

Meanwhile, Manoj Prabhakar has denied any such claims made by the woman and said that he has not seen her for the past 23 years during his stay in the flat.
