Four Instances That Show Rohit Sharma Is Miffed With Virat Kohli

Speculations are rife that all is not well between India stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The rumours surfaced at the end of India’s World Cup campaign. The reports suggested that the dressing room has been divided into two halves with Rohit and Kohli being the leaders. Kohli recently quashed those rumours but Rohit is yet to speak on that.

Only time will tell what is the real matter. However, the way things have panned out, the signs are not very promising. While Kohli has tried to keep things under wrap, Rohit has not. Rohit’s activities have made it more or less clear that all is not well inside the dressing room. So here we take a look at four incidents involving Rohit Sharma that shows the unrest in the team.

4. Rohit Sharma likes tweet slamming Anushka Sharma:

During the tour of England last year, Rohit Sharma had caused a stir when he ‘liked’ a post on Twitter that was critical of Anushka Sharma’s presence with the Indian team in a photograph taken at the High Commission of India at London.

In a tweet by the BCCI, Anushka was pictured alongside her husband, India captain Virat Kohli along with the remaining members of the team at the High Commission ahead of the second Test against England at Lord’s. The fans were quick to criticise Anushka’s presence and Rohit ended up liking one of those tweets.

3. Rohit Sharma unfollows Virat Kohli on Instagram:

Virat Kohli has over 38 million followers on Instagram and is followed by almost every cricketer in the country. However, Rohit Sharma is not one of them. While Kohli has made sure to follow Rohit on the social media, the India vice-captain has decided against it. Perhaps it was Rohit’s way of letting Kohli know that he is not on the same page with him.

2. Rohit Sharma unfollows Anushka Sharma on Instagram:

This is the one incident that pretty much fuelled the fire as Rohit Sharma unfollowed Anushka Sharma on Instagram. At a time when rumours of the rift were going on, Rohit added fuel to the fire by unfollowing Anushka on Instagram. The Bollywood diva then made things only worse by posting a cryptic message that read:

“A wise man once said nothing. Only truth can shake hands with silence in a mess of false appearances.”

While things were already looking bad, Rohit all but confirmed the rift in the dressing room by posting a cryptic message on Twitter. The India vice-captain made it clear that he does not play for any individual but for the nation. While Rohit definitely tried to remain subtle with his tweet, the line pretty much made it clear that all is not well inside the dressing room.
