Gautam Gambhir Supports RBL Bank in Their Efforts to Improve lives of Martyrs’ Children

Out of favour Indian batsman, Gautam Gambhir is a man known to support social causes. He always speaks for the truth and it is also the nature of the man on the field also. Basking in the glory of RBL Bank, Gautam Gambhir took to his social networking site to acknowledge on the efforts of the bank. He also lauded the venture carried out by the Head HR, CSR and also the Internal branding of the bank, Shanta Valllury. The RBL Bank in collaboration with GGF will partner for the life of martyrs children and also in the program for an adolescent girl. A martyr is a person who is killed due to his religious beliefs.

Taking to his twitter handle Gambhir shared a picture with Shanta Vallury. He captioned the pic, “Now @rblbank “Apno Ka Bank” is “Hamara Bank” too. Basking in d reflective glory of the gorgeous @shanta_vallury who is also Head HR, CSR & Internal Branding @rblbank. RBL& GGF will partner to improve lives of martyrs’ children & also work in the program for adolescent girls.”

Gambhir was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in the 2018 IPL Auctions. The southpaw was happy to be finishing his IPL career in his home city. After a tremendous stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders, Daredevils expected the inclusion of Gambhir will surely change the fortunes of the franchise. However, the situation didn’t turn out the way as Delhi would have liked.

Despite some exceptional individual performances, Delhi was unable to gel as a unit and finished as the bottom-ranked side in the league’s table for yet another time. Following Delhi’s disastrous start to their IPL campaign, Gambhir decided to step down from the post of captaincy halfway through the tournament. The southpaw announced in a press conference that he has decided to step down only to hand over the captaincy reigns to Shreyas Iyer.

Two of the most career-defining knocks of Gambhir 

Gambhir has been a fighter all throughout his career. He played two of the career-defining knocks in two of the most special days of Indian cricket history. It was his brilliant 75 against Pakistan in the final of the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 which gave India their first World title after the 1983 World Cup. His innings in the final of the 2011 World Cup will surely rank as one of his best. He scored a brilliant 97 which laid the foundation for a famous Indian victory. It was after 28 years that India lifted the 50 overs World Cup.
