Former Australian great Glenn McGrath revealed legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were the two best batsmen in India. During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, McGrath admitted that on his day Tendulkar was one of the toughest batsmen to bowl at.

Veteran McGrath also rated Dravid very highly and said that it was challenging to get through the defence of Dravid. He also heaped praise on VVS Laxman, who had a terrific record against Australia in particular.

“There was no one I hated bowling against. Batsmen on their day can do well. Sachin, when he was on fire was as tough as anyone to bowl to. Dravid, tough to get through that defence and VVS Laxman, he was just such a quality player and did so well against Australia. So they are three guys who could be pretty tough,” McGrath told Sportskeeda.

There is no doubt about the fact that McGrath was one of the finest bowlers of his generation if not the best. In the recent past, McGrath terms Ishant Sharma as the workhorse.

Despite not having much pace, he kept things simple, and his accuracy made him the most successful fast bowler in the world with 563 victims under his belt.
