Graeme Swann is Set to Start Another Chapter in His Life

The former off-spinner of England, Graeme Swann is in the saddle to start the new inning of his life. After achieving a lot of name and fame while doing successful stints on the field as a professional for England, he is looking to do the same in the dance field.

After the retirement, attacking spinner Swann took active participation as a broadcast commentator. However, the star spinner has now decided to participate in a predominantly dance based show broadcasted by BBC One.

Also, the title of the dance show is “Strictly Come Dancing.”

The English off-spinner is not the first cricketer who is ready to set the stage on fire. The show shares an exclusive affiliation with the persons who belong to the gentleman’s cricket.

Earlier, veteran bowler Darren Gough, who is the former speedster of England took part in this show. Not yet, he wrapped up the show by winning it. Gough took participation in the show in 2005.

Mark Ramprakash, who is the former batsman repeated the same performance in 2006. Phil Tufnell and Michael Vaughan also participated in the show in 2009 and 2012 respectively.

Swann starts doing commenting with BBC after he hung his boots in 2013. He finished up his cricketing career while being sixth successful wicket-taker for his country. In his cricketing career, he took 410 wickets in all forms of the game.

Swann is also part of the panel who hosts “BBC Test Match Special” show for ongoing five-matches Test series.

From a fan-following point of view, he holds a lot of audience due to his witty nature.

Graeme Swann on his new job:

He is delighted to join the modern game of his life, as it is evident from his words that went aired last night on BBC.

“I’m hoping to follow in the footsteps of the cricketers who’ve either won the whole thing or had an absolute ball on the show. I don’t have any background in dancing, but can do the floss, so let’s hope this comes in useful!,” he maintained.
