GT vs SRH: Watch - Alzarri Joseph’s Direct Hit Ends Washington Sundar’s Knock

Gujarat Titans (GT) Alzarri Joseph threw down the stumps at the bowling end to send back Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Washington Sundar in their recent IPL 2022 encounter which was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 27, 2022.

GT came into the match with a chance to go to the top of the points table with a win and started off well as Hardik Pandya won the toss and snapped SRH skipper Kane Williamson’s 7-match streak of winning tosses. Gujarat Titans went in unchanged from their last match, while SRH welcomed Washington Sundar back into the side in place of Jagadeesha Suchith.

Abhishek Sharma gave a terrific start to the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings with a knock of 65 in 42 balls with 3 sixes and 6 fours to his name. Kane Williamson fell for 5, while Rahul Tripathi made 16 and was looking good before he was trapped LBW by Mohammad Shami.

On the first legal ball of the 19th over, Alzarri Joseph cramped Sundar as he tried to work the ball on the leg side. Shashank Singh called him for a quick run, and Sundar responded, but Joseph reached the ball and after taking a second to take aim, threw down the stumps at the bowling end to send back Sundar.
