The Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise has confirmed that they will be celebrating the life of Australian leg-spinner, Shane Warne, who passed away last month due to a heart attack in a Thailand hotel resort.

RR will be facing Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday which will mark the 14th anniversary of their maiden IPL triumph back in 2008. Warne was the captain of the team that defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 3 wickets in the final of IPL 2008.

It is befitting that the same stadium where Warne lifted the IPL trophy will see the cricketing world come together to pay their respects and celebrate his life.”
