Congress leader Hanumantha Rao has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India to appeal to International Cricket Council to ban Pakistan from World Cup. After the aftermath of Pulwama attacks on 14th February, the India-Pakistan’s World Cup clash has come under the jeopardy.
Meanwhile, BCCI is also mulling to boycott Pakistan in the World Cup, which will take place in England and Wales. In fact, BCCI and India Government will decide whether Men in Blue will play against their arch-rivals.

Ban Pakistan from World Cup – Rao.
On the other hand, there is currently a tensed situation between the two countries. Consequently, the India-Pakistan World Cup match looks unlikely.
Meanwhile, Hanumantha Rao believes Pakistan is encouraging terrorism on its soil. Rao believes if ICC decides to ban Pakistan from the World Cup, it will send a strong message to its government to act against terrorism.
“Pakistan Government is encouraging terrorists to strike on Indian soil”.
The former Minister of Sports of United Andhra Pradesh government said as per India Today, “If Pakistan cricket team is not allowed to play in the World Cup, they may realize, that what they are doing is wrong and may desist with such activities in future.”

Rao praised the Indian Air Force strikes across the LoC that decimated Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) base camp at Balakota in Pakistan. He said, “I salute the bravery of Indian Air Force pilots who have made the entire country proud by striking terror targets in Pakistan.”
Say no to war.
India has a great World Cup record against Pakistan. The Men in Blue has won against Pakistan on all the six occasions in the World Cup event. However, if the present situation between the two neighbors continues to aggravate, there would be a bleak chance of any clash between them in the quadrennial event.
India is set to lock horns with Pakistan on June 16 at Manchester in the forthcoming World Cup.
