Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh will miss the first flight for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to UAE for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. This development comes after Harbhajan Singh had not joined the training camp for the IPL 2020 in Chennai and delayed it due to some personal issues.
According to a report in Times of India, Harbhajan Singh’s mother is unwell as a result of which he won’t fly to UAE with the team on Friday and is expected to join the squad sometime after two weeks.
Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur are the three cricketers who missed CSK’s training camp which started on Saturday. The turbanator has aged like a fine wine. Once the flag-bearer of Indian spin bowling, the veteran is still eyeing to make a return for the national team, after having played his last international match in 2016.
Away from the international circuit, Harbhajan Singh has plied his trade for two most successful teams in the IPL – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) – and continues to be a regular in the lucrative tournament.
Singh, 39, has picked up 417 Test wickets and 269 in ODIs for India.
