Hardik Pandya has impinged himself as a crucial member of both the Mumbai Indians and the Indian Cricket Team in the past five years.

The Baroda all-rounder rose through the ranks after he was spotted by Mumbai Indians talent scout John Wright when he played a whirlwind knock during a domestic Twenty20 game.

He was soon handed an IPL contract by the Mumbai Indians and he hasn’t looked back since then. Hardik recently appeared on an Instagram Live session conducted by his Indian Premier League franchise where he opened up about his rapport with his fellow teammates including captain Rohit Sharma, fast-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Kieron Pollard.

While talking about Rohit Sharma, Hardik revealed that he has had his ‘best years: while playing under the four-time IPL-winning captain.

“I have always enjoyed playing with Rohit and he has been a great captain. We don’t have many conversations on about the game but I have had my best years playing under him,” Hardik Pandya was quoted as saying by the Mumbai Indians.

Both Hardik and Jasprit Bumrah rose through the ranks at the same time in both the Indian Premier League as well as international cricket.

Hardik Pandya hailed Jasprit Bumrah as knowledgable and calm, adding that he enjoys the fast bowlers’ company.

“He’s calm and knowledgeable. He’s someone who I enjoy being with. We have got success together and have genuinely shared that success,” Pandya said.

Pandya has been out of competitive cricket since last September after his back injury once again surfaced. The all[-rounder proceeded to undergo surgery and after intense rehabilitation, he was all set to make a comeback with the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League but for the proliferation of coronavirus, which led to the postponement of the cash-rich league for an indefinite period of time.
