The allrounder made Dhoni’s special day even more memorable by giving him a special haircut. Pandya took to Twitter to share a photo of himself giving a haircut to Dhoni, tweeting:

“Special day calls for a special haircut. Here’s my birthday gift for the one and only @msdhoni . ?‍♂✌ ? ⚠ This stunts is performed by experts, don’t try this at home ⚠?? “

Dhoni, meanwhile, had a cheeky reply to Pandya’s message as he replied:

Both the players are currently in England for the ongoing T20I series. The series is currently locked at 1-1 after England won the second game by 5 wickets. The outcome of the series will be decided in the third and final game set to be played in Bristol on Sunday.

Dhoni the legend:

Dhoni will go down as one of the finest players and skippers in the history of the game. He began his career in the worst possible manner, getting run-out for a duck. It was, however, not the precursor of the things to follow. In just his 5th ODI, he slammed 148 against Pakistan to become a crowd favourite.

There was no looking back since then, as he established himself as one of India’s premier batsman in ODIs. The most memorable moment of his early part of the career came in 2007 when he led a bunch of youngsters to the World T20 title in South Africa.

He was soon given the captaincy in all the format, and the rest is all history. Till date, he is the only skipper to have won all the ICC events after leading India to World Cup glory in 2011 followed by the Champions Trophy title in 2013.

He also led the Indian team to the pinnacle of Test cricket in 2009 in addition to winning several historic overseas series.

His record as a batsman is equally impressive. He needs only 33 runs to complete 10,000 runs in One-Day Internationals.

In 90 Tests, he scored 4,874 runs before retiring. In T20Is, he has amassed 1,487 runs in 92 outings.
