India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya is trying to speed up his recovery to get fit for Australia tour. Pandya is currently out of the Indian team as he had suffered an acute low back injury during the Asia Cup. The Baroda all-rounder had looked in considerable pain after he had fallen down in his follow through.
Thus, Pandya could not make his place for the two-match Test series against Windies. He could not recuperate for the first two ODIs against the Windies. In fact, the all-rounder could not make the cut for the final three matches.
Therefore, Pandya wants to prove his fitness ahead of the Australian tour. India will play a three-match T20I series and Pandya will like to make himself available for selection. Subsequently, Pandya is trying to keep himself fit ahead of the selection for the Australia tour.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s performance had come under the scanner in the recent past. He was able to scalp a five-wicket haul in the third Test match at Trent Bridge against England. However, apart from that performance, he had an ordinary tour of England.
Thus, he was also dropped from the fifth and final Test match at Oval. Pandya has done well in the limited overs format. However, he is still a work in progress in the red ball version of the game.
Meanwhile, Pandya will look to hit the ground running in Australia. In fact, this will be a maiden tour for the all-rounder. Consequently, he will like to deliver the goods while playing Down Under.
Hardik Pandya took to his Twitter account to post a video of his training. Pandya post read as, “Training hard ? every yard ? #RoadToRecovery”.
