Harmanpreet Kaur Names Her Favourite IPL Team

With no action going on at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic, cricketers around the globe are confined to their houses and India women team’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur is not an exception either. And just like many others, Harmanpreet Kaur decided to use the opportunity to interact with her fans on Twitters.
The star batter, on Thursday, held a Q/A session on the social media platform. The excited fans asked her a number of questions and one of them was about her favourite IPL team. One of her followers asked her to name her favourite IPL team.
In reply, the Punjab-born star did not pick her home franchise Kings XI Punjab but revealed that Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers are her favourite IPL team. And to make things interesting, England women team’s star player Alexandra Hartley reacted to the tweet too.

The thirteenth edition of the IPL has been suspended till April 15 by the BCCI due to the pandemic. As things stand, there is absolutely no clarity over when will the league start. Latest media reports suggest that IPL could be also called off altogether after the Indian government imposed a 21-day lockdown throughout the country.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, meanwhile, are yet to win the IPL. They have made it to the final of the competition thrice – 2009, 2011 and 2016 – but ended up on the wrong side of the result on every occasion. Their performance in the last few years has been a lot worse.
Since making it to the final in 2016, they have not managed to make it past the league stage. In last three seasons, they have finished at the bottom twice while on the other occasion, they finished at a lowly sixth spot in the eight-team competition.
