Criticism has not left Pakistan cricket team ever since they suffered the heavy defeat at the hands of India in the World Cup on June 16. While the cricketing world was expecting a classic World Cup encounter, Pakistan failed to deliver the goods. India were top of the game right from ball one and ended up winning the game by 89 runs (DLS method).
Asked to bat first, India piled up a mammoth total of 336 for 5. Rohit Sharma starred with the bat, scoring 140 while KL Rahul and Virat Kohli scored 57 and 77 respectively. In reply, Pakistan failed to provide any sort of challenge to their formidable opponents.
Barring the 104-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, they never really looked in contention to chase down the total. They eventually finished on 212 for 6 in 40 overs, thus losing the game by 89 runs (DLS method).
In the wake of the defeat, the fans from across the border have come down hard on the players. The fans are slamming the players not only for the defeat but also for the way their lack of fight against the arch-rivals. And as if it was not enough, their fast bowler Hasan Ali ended up cheering for Team India.
It all started when a journalist had posted a tweet congratulating the Indian team and wishing for them to win the World Cup and make the nation proud. Ali noticed the tweet and quickly replied:
“Hogi ap ki dua pori congratulation” (Translation: Your wish will be fulfilled congratulations).
Congratulations #TeamIndia for the splendid win and giving us a moment to celebrate and to feel proud to be an Indian. #IndianCricketTeam let's capture the world cup now #CWC19

Unsurprisingly, Hasan Ali faced the backlash from his compatriots and soon deleted his tweet. Hasan Ali was already in the firing line for his poor display against India. He had conceded 84 runs in just nine overs although he dismissed Rohit Sharma at a crucial time.
