Cricket has evolved from time to time and so has the style of play. Their was a time when no batsmen would have thought of scoring a double century in ODIs but in the present scenario the cricketers fancy their chances to make it happen. Meanwhile, hitting over the ropes while scoring big hundreds has been normal, but their have been times when batsmen have scored a century without hitting a six.

5. Sachin Tendulkar

When Brian Lara stood ground on the crease, it looked difficult to dislodge him. He showed composure, and stitched long innings, to take the game away from the oppositions as no one could. He was lesson in Test cricket, and youngsters today, can still take a look at all his innings and learn the art of batting long effortlessly.
He scored an unique century against Pakistan in Sharjah in November 1993 where no sixes were hit as he went on to score 153 runs off 143 deliveries.
3. Hashim Amla
Hashim Amla is an elegant top-order batsman who went about building up his innings in a calm and composed manner. When Amla got going it was difficult to stop him and could help his team reach match-winning totals. In an ODI against the West Indies, Amla notched up the score of 153 not out, back in 2015 with no sixes to his name in the innings.
2. Tillakaratne Dilshan
Tillakaratne Dilshan was one of the finest Sri Lankan batsman to have played the game. He batted at the top-order and could adjust his game according to the need of the team, which was his biggest advantage. When he team needed to go out and score big total, he could go all out, similarly he could also play on the backfoot when required. In an ODI against Bangladesh in Melbourne, 2015 – Dilshan scored 161 not out in a marathon innings of 146 balls without hitting a six.
