Tall and lanky fast bowler from Punjab, Barinder Sran is eyeing an international comeback through his Indian Premier League (IPL) stint with Kings XI Punjab.
Fresh from injuries, Sran is confident of putting up a good show in the Punjab colours.
The fiery left-arm pacer was bought by Kings XI Punjab at the auctions last weekend for a hefty sum of 2.2 crores. Sran, who had a brilliant debut against Australia at Perth bagging three for 56 will be hoping to replicate his performance for the Punjab side. A month later he made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe, returning with four for 10.
The 25-year-old Sran represented India in six ODIs, and two T20I games, as his career, paused due to a shoulder injury and a troublesome right knee for six months.

Sran on Tuesday said he is happy with the auctions.
“I am satisfied with the auction. If we play in Mohali, it will be an added advantage as it has been my home ground. I was fit before the Ranji Trophy, and I played two or three games. But I found my rhythm from Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy,” Sran said to Sportstar.
Sran picked up eight wickets in four games including two three-wicket hauls against Rajasthan and Haryana.
“The target was to be fit and bowl with the same rhythm where I left. There had been a gap of one-and-a-half years since I last played for India. I needed matches to be sure of my abilities and prove my fitness. Now that I am performing, I am confident of a good show in the IPL. It can help me bounce back,” Sran added.
However, the current India pace battery possesses great ability backed by strong bench strength. But Sran is banking on the left-hand factor.
“My advantage is that I am a lefty; of course, I need to perform too,” Sran added.
Sran is eager to execute deliveries he sharpened at the nets. He has added back of the hand slower balls and yorkers to his armoury ahead of the IPL.
