ICC Test Rankings: Duanne Olivier, Quinton de Kock Move up the Table

The latest ICC Test Rankings for both batsmen and bowlers are out; South Africa’s Duanne Olivier and Quinton de Kock have moved up on the table. While Olivier, who took 24 wickets in three Tests against Pakistan has reached a career-best position of 24th on the rankings table. His eight for 125 in the final Test in Johannesburg helped the Proteas win the game by 107 runs and blank Pakistan 3-0 at home. Not only he bagged the player of the series award, but he also rose 29 slots from the 53rd position in Tests.
De Kock, Markram among the gainers
As South Africa toppled England and New Zealand to sit at the second spot on the team rankings, their batsmen, Aiden Markram and Quinton de Kock moved up the chart as well. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored a hundred (129) in the last Test and thus gained 12 berths to the 14th position. Opener Markram rose two places to the eighth position as well, while, the former captain Hashim Amla is up three spots to enter top ten.

Pakistan batting duo of Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq also got benefited. While Babar has reached a career-best position of 20th, rising five places on the table; middle-order batsman, Asad Shafiq jumped one slot to sit at 23. Plus, opener, Imam-ul-Haq rose 23 spots to be at the 73rd position on the chart, whereas, Shan Maqsood just two places to 63.
Amir, Faheem make giant strides

Among the bowlers, star paceman Mohammad Amir rose three slots to the 31st position. Also, all-rounder, Faheem Ashraf took a giant leap, jumping 48 places to the career-best 58th position. In the final Test against South Africa, he took six wickets as well. Shadab Khan, who got included in the side for the last game climbed 23 places to reach 78th on the list.
