Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has had a dream start to his Test career. Abbas, who took 17 wickets in the two-match Test series against Australia has made a massive jump of eleven positions. Therefore, Abbas who was at 14th rank is now the third-ranked bowler in ICC Test rankings. The right-hander had scalped seven wickets in the first Test match. He also took a 10-wicket haul in the second Test match.

Therefore, Abbas has taken only 10 Test matches to reach the career-best ranking. In fact, he had also completed 50 Test scalps in just nine Test matches. Thus, he is rewriting the history books. Abbas also crossed the 800 rating points as he has 829 rating points under his belt.
