The International Cricket Council (ICC) took to Twitter on Tuesday and trolled former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar, for his comments on dismissing Steve Smith in just four deliveries. Notably, Shoaib Akhtar was responding to a tweet from a news outlet which pitched players of different generation against each other and asked the fans to pick their favourite battle.
Shoaib Akhtar was pitched against Steve Smith, but he probably found it amusing as he said it would take him just four balls to dismiss the Aussie, writing, “Even today, three hurting bouncers and I can dismiss @stevesmith49 on the 4th ball. Lol”
Shoaib Akhtar’s tweet drew a lot of trolls and criticism as Steve Smith is arguably the best Test batsman in the world. Fans couldn’t believe how overconfident Shoaib Akhtar is!! Now, the ICC has also joined the trolls party as they too couldn’t comprehend Shoaib’s comments.

Steve Smith Has Had A Legendary Stint So Far
Steve Smith is a modern-day legend of the game of cricket. The right-hander has an average above 60 in Test cricket at the moment. In the last couple of years, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has emerged as the undisputed champion due to Smith’s ban after the Sandpapergate scandal. Still, Smith’s return has been magnificent, and he announced it in style during the 2019 Ashes.
Smith is a pioneer in making batting look easy in any condition. He has produced results in England, Australia, the sub-continent and almost at all the venues where cricket is played. He is widely regarded as one of the great players of spin in today’s cricket, a rare feat for many players who do not belong to the sub-continent.
