ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020, Final: Toss Report
The stage is all set for India’s women team to create history. The high-flying team will be locking horns against hosts and defending champions Australia in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. India are into their first final of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup while Australia are gearing up for their sixth final.
India made it to the final at the expense of England after their semifinal was washed out without a ball being bowled. The Women in Blue progressed ahead on the virtue of finishing higher in the group stage. On the other hand, Australia beat South Africa by 5 runs (DLS method) to book their place in the final.
Both India and Australia have met once in the tournament and the former came out on top on that occasion. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side had won the game by 17 runs while defending 132. But just days before that, Australia had thrashed them to win the tri-series. Thus, there are no clear favourites for the upcoming clash although Australia are slightly ahead because of their experience. But with both the teams in red-hot form, one can expect a cracking game.

Toss Report:
Australia won the toss and decided to bat first in the final of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.

Harmanpreet Kaur:
My mom’s sitting somewhere in the stands. It’s a pressure game and we also wanted to bat first. We are quite confident while chasing, hopefully the bowlers restrict them. We did some indoor practice. We are trying to staying together, because you are not getting games it tends to affect your focus. We wanted to treat this like any other game and give our best shot.
Meg Lanning:
We are going to have a bat, looks a good wicket. Crowd’s exciting, looking forward to it. Every game has been close, but we need to be at our best today. Hopefully it’s a great game. We are going in with the same team tonight.
