Of late, the recognition and the support for the women’s cricket in India have taken a boost, especially, after the emphatic 50-over World Cup journey. Meanwhile, the team India skipperVirat Kohli adds extra quotient to it by calling all the Indian fans to shower their support once again in the ICC Women’s World T20.

Now to make things fall in place, Virat Kohli came up with a new challenge by asking the fans to support Indian women’s team by wearing the Indian jersey. Further, he also stated it doesn’t know the gender.

Virat Kohli wants fans to support the game without gender bias:

Virat Kohli, in his tweet, challenged Rishabh Pant, Badminton star, Saina Nehwal and the Football skipper, Sunil Chettri to don the Indian jersey and support the women cricketers for the ongoing ICC Women’s World T20.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”We’re on our way to the semi-finals.. and it’s time to back Team India to bring home the World Cup! #JerseyKnowsNoGender. I nominate Rishabh Pant, Saina Nehwal, Sunil Chettri and all of you to join in. Wear your jerseys and strike the pose to cheer them on!”

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team are set to play their third game of the event against Ireland on Thursday (November 15th), which almost confirms their place for the semi-final spot in the tournament as well.

The skipper Harmanpreet and the openers are in blistering form for team India, who are making things look pretty easy for the women in blue. The bowling section has also been quite brilliant in tackling the things.
