Afghanistan will play their third match of the ICC World Cup 2019 against New Zealand at Cooper Associates County Ground at Taunton. The Afghan side hasn’t lived up to the grown expectations in their first two matches and they would aim to turn the tables in the match against New Zealand. We take a look at Afghanistan’s Predicted Playing XI and Analysis.
On the other hand, New Zealand has bagged two wins in as many matches they have played. The Kiwis were able to able to get the win against Bangladesh after their middle order could not finish the match. Thus, New Zealand will aim to continue their good form going.

Ikram Ali Khil

Mohammed Shahzad has been ruled out with a knee injury and wicket-keeper batsman Ikram Alikhil has been named as his replacement.
Hazratullah Zazai

The southpaw batsman had scored a blistering knock of 30 runs against Sri Lanka. However, Zazai will need to be more consistent for the Afghanistan side.
Rahmat Shah

The right-hander was dismissed cheaply for two runs in the match against Sri Lanka. Shah has all the experience under his belt and he would like to deliver the goods.
Hashmatullah Shahidi

The southpaw batsman has had two disappointing matches for Afghanistan. Thus, the left-hander will aim to turn the tables in the upcoming matches.
Mohammad Nabi

The talisman off-spinner was brilliant with the ball against Sri Lanka as he scalped four wickets in the previous match. However, Nabi could not deliver the goods with the bat.
Afghanistan needs to bounce back.
Gulbadin Naib

The skipper has led with aplomb. However, Naib had struggled with his medium pacers as conceded 38 runs in the four overs. Naib scored 23 runs in the previous match against Sri Lanka.
Najibullah Zadran

The southpaw batsman had played a good knock of 43 runs against Island nation. Zadran is the man in form and it won’t be a bad idea to give him the batting promotion.
Rashid Khan

The talisman leg-spinner scalped two wickets and he was economical in his spell. Rashid Khan is going to hold the key for Afghanistan and he would like to hit the straps.
Dawlat Zadran

The experienced campaigner had taken two wickets in the last match. Zadran will like to continue his good form going and provide early breakthroughs to his team.
Hamid Hassan

The right-arm pacer had taken one wicket against Sri Lanka. Hassan was on the expensive side and conceded 10 wides in his spell of seven overs. Hence, he would need to tighten the screws.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The mystery spinner hasn’t impressed much in the recent past. Rahman has been on the expensive side and he would aim to deliver the goods for Afghanistan.
