India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has slammed former India cricketer turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar for his comments on him. Manjrekar had said that the all-rounder is a bit’s and pieces player and his inclusion will not help the Indian team. Jadeja took a direct dig at Manjrekar urging him to respect other cricketers and stop his verbal diarrhoea. A day after his comments, Jadeja’s IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have come in support of the all-rounder.
Jadeja slams Manjrekar on Twitter
The Men in Blues suffered their first defeat against England, and their batters took the Indian spinners to cleaners. When asked for his view on whether Ravindra Jadeja should replace one of the wrist spinners, Yuzuvendra Chahal or Kuldeep Yadav, Sanjay Manjrekar said that he is not a fan of bits and pieces player. Instead, he would prefer a proper bowler or a batsman.

“I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar said to IANS.
Sanjay Manjrekar’s comments came ahead of the game against Bangladesh that India went on to win. While Kuldeep was left out of the playing XI, Bhuvneshwar Kumar replaced him. Ravindra Jadeja, who is yet to feature in the playing XI at the World Cup but has taken a couple of brilliant catches as a substitute fielder, lashed out at the former Indian batsman on Twitter.

The exchange has created a stir on social media with many fans coming in support of Ravindra Jadeja. Moreover, many fans have called for banning Sanjay Manjrekar from commentating during the games. And now, Jadeja’s IPL team CSK have extended his support to the all-rounder saying that they love him in every bits and pieces.
