Indian National Cricket Team have departed for England to play the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 starting from May 30. As India enter the tournament as one of the favourites, the bowling unit will have to keep up the excellent job on flat wickets England have produced in recent times. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, one of the crucial stakeholders of the pace unit, has revealed the toughest batsmen he has bowled at.

Meanwhile, Kumar looked out of socks in the recently concluded IPL. Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with 13 wickets from 15 games and shelled runs at an economy rate of 7.81, quite the opposite to his usual character. The Indian pacer will have to hit the strides soon as India are touring with three pacers and one short will prove costly for the whole team. And considering the pitches in England, the bowlers will have to be on their toes every time.

However, Bhuvnehwar Kumar seemed confident about his team’s chances as he said that they have a strong bowling line-up. Kumar added that all will depend on how the teams execute their plans on a given day.

“I agree that pitches in England in the last few years have been flat, but teams will be wary of India’s bowling unit since we can be potent both at the start and at the death. It will all boil down to how we execute the plans on the given day,” he said to cricbuzz.

Who is the toughest batsman to bowl at?

Bhuvneshwar Kumar rubbed shoulders with the modern day greats and some of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball. David Warner, Andre Russell, KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Hardik Pandya, and Jonny Bairstow were some of the top-scoring batsmen in the 12the edition of the IPL. While he escaped Warner and Bairstow, Kumar faced the wrath of many others. Revealing the toughest batsmen, the Uttar Pradesh picked David Warner and Andre Russell as the most lethal hitters of the cricket ball.

“Going by IPL, Andre Russell was superb while my SRH teammate – David Warner – too was in great touch. They are the kind of players who can take the game away from you and it’s imperative that you are at your best while bowling to them,” he concluded.
