Every player has his own methods to prepare for a big match in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019. For Pakistan talisman batsman Babar Azam – it is watching Indian skipper Virat Kohli‘s videos. Azam has always been a big fan of Virat Kohli and he would like to deliver the goods against arch-rivals India on 16th June at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Babar Azam stated that he likes to learn from Virat Kohli’s videos. Kohli is the best batsman in the world and a player like Babar Azam can learn a lot by observing Kohli’s style of play. In fact, Babar Azam is often likened with Virat Kohli and Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has many times made the comparison.

Babar Azam is Pakistan’s best batsman.

“I watch his batting and the way he bats in various conditions and try to learn from them,” Babar told reporters on Friday.

“His (Kohli’s) winning ratio is higher (for India) so I am trying to achieve that as well,” Azam added.

On the other hand, Pakistan had lost the Champions Trophy league match against India by 124 runs. However, they had bounced back in style as they won by a gargantuan margin of 180 runs. Babar Azam said that the win will always stay close to their hearts.

“That win can never go off our memories and it’s a big inspiration. We are well prepared for this match because India and Pakistan matches are exciting and demanding and the whole world watches it,” Babar said.

“The whole team is positive so we are looking forward to the match. Not only me but all the players want to finish on a high, whoever hits form wants to win it.”

Meanwhile, India’s bowling line-up has taken giant strides in the recent past. India’s bowlers have bowled with fire and they would like to be at their best against Pakistan. However, Babar Azam is confident of ticking the right boxes against India’s bowlers as they had done against England.

“No doubt, India has a good bowling attack but we have played well against England who also has a very good pace attack so all of us are confident the Indian pace attack will be properly handled.”

The two nemeses will take on each other at Old Trafford on 16th June.
