Former Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has stated that the India National Cricket Team has a complete bowling attack. Team India has taken massive strides in their bowling department and they have shown an upward swing in their improvement graph. Thus, India’s bowling battery has covered all the bases and they check all the boxes ahead of the World Cup.

India has a potent pace battery as they have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah are in fine form in the recent past, however, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form has dipped in the recent past.

India has a potent bowling unit.

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been instrumental in the success of the team. Both of these wrist spinners have provided breakthroughs in the middle overs, which has been a massive difference for the Indian team.

“I really like what I see in this bowling attack; I feel it’s a complete attack,” said Tendulkar said while talking to TImes of India. “But it’s always nice to not compare the two teams (2015 and 2019), their strengths and their weak areas.”

Meanwhile, Master Blaster also believes that the role of an all-rounder is going to be crucial. India has Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar and Ravindra Jadeja in their line-up and these three are going to be pivotal for the team. Hardik Pandya is in fine form as he had scored 402 runs in the IPL and he would like to continue his good work going in the World Cup.

All-rounders role is going to be imperative.

“I think (in) the current World Cup squad, we are looking at a couple of all-rounders, in someone like Hardik (Pandya), a seam-bowling all-rounder. His inclusion is going to be critical. (Also) Vijay Shankar, who can bat and bowl.

“We are also looking at quality wrist spinners (Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal) to bowl in the middle overs. We have also got Ravindra Jadeja, who has been there for a while,” Sachin said. “These inclusions would give a new dimension to the team compared to 2015.”

Furthermore, Sachin Tendulkar also made his prediction on the last four teams of the tournament. The former Indian opener stated that India, Australia, England and Pakistan or New Zealand will get to the semifinals of the contest.

“India, England and Australia, with New Zealand or Pakistan the fourth team,” Tendulkar said.

Meanwhile, the English conditions are expected to be conducive to batting. The pitches have been dry and flat in the last four years and the scores in excess of 325 have been a norm in the recent past. Consequently, the role of the bowlers is going to be more crucial in the coveted tournament. In fact, it is well said that batsmen win you games whereas bowlers win you the tournament.
