ICC World Cup 2019: Legendary Lata Mangeshkar Requests MS Dhoni To Postpone Retirement

India???s legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has requested MS Dhoni to postpone his retirement. There are talks doing the rounds that Dhoni might hang his boots any time soon. India is knocked out of the World Cup after they lost the semifinal against New Zealand by 18 runs. Dhoni is now 38 years and it would be prudent for him to call it a day on his International career.

The talisman wicketkeeper-batsman has had a glorious career and if he decides to retire from International cricket, it would leave a big void in India???s team. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has stated that MS Dhoni has not let the team know about his retirement plans.

On the other hand, it was reported by PTI that the former skipper was contemplating retirement after the conclusion of the World Cup. In fact, Dhoni was seen supporting different bat logos and it was speculated that it was his way of giving his gratitude to his different bat sponsors.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni scored two fifties in the ongoing World Cup. The right-hander scored 56 runs from 61 to add the finishing touches to the innings score against West Indies. Furthermore, Dhoni came up with a gutsy knock of 50 runs in the semifinal match against New Zealand. However, his efforts went in vain as India was knocked out of the tournament.
