Bangladesh, who have played spirited cricket throughout the ICC World Cup 2019 will look to finish with a win when they go up against Pakistan on July 5 (Friday) at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
The Tigers have played some outstanding cricket in this World Cup; although the results have not come their way. Shakib Al Hasan has been excellent with both bat and ball but lacked support from his teammates as Bangladesh failed to make into the semifinals. They beat South Africa and Afghanistan, pulled off a record chase against West Indies, showed several moments of brilliance in a big chase against Australia, and nearly beat New Zealand.
Bangladesh will look to go all the way against Pakistan and finish their campaign on a positive note.
Here is the predicted playing XI of Bangladesh for match 43 of the ICC World Cup 2019 against Pakistan at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London:
Tamim Iqbal got a half-century against Australia but has struggled in rest of the matches to provide good starts for Bangladesh. The senior cricketer needs to stand tall and deliver in their last encounter of the World Cup campaign and finish with a high.
The swashbuckling opener needs to score runs and help his side get off to a good start. So far, Soumya Sarkar has struggled to be among the runs and will hope to leave a mark in his first-ever World Cup.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan has been the brightest star of this World Cup. The all-rounder has already chipped in with 500 runs and has claimed ten wickets – becoming the first ever to do. Shakib will look to go hard and score a big in their last match of the competition and secure a win for Bangladesh.
Mushfiqur Rahim has had an average World Cup and has lacked consistency. The wicket-keeper batsman will look to score big against Pakistan and finish the tournament with a win.
Barring the game against Australi, Liton Das has merely struggled to score runs. The talented batsman will have to do the scoring in the last World Cup game and retain his playing XI after the World Cup.
Mahmudullah showed glimpses of his abilities in a few matches. The onus will be on the former skipper to bring his A game forward and help Bangladesh secure another win before they end their campaign.
Mosaddek Hossain has failed to make a mark in the World Cup both with bat and ball. The youngster will be desperate to make a mark in the last game and finish the tournament on a good note.

Mohammad Saifuddin has been among the wickets for Bangladesh. He needs to continue the excellent work against Pakistan to help Bangladesh end their World Cup with a win.
Mashrafe Mortaza has been completely out of form in this World Cup. The veteran cricketer needs to up his performance and lead Bangladesh from the front in what is likely to be his last World Cup match.
Mehidy Hasan has bowled well in the powerplay overs and contained the runs. However, he needs to pick wickets and provide breakthroughs to restrict Pakistan for low totals.
Mustafizur Rahman had an outstanding game against India scalping five wickets but couldn’t end up on the winning side. The left-arm pacer will look to replicate the same effort to help Bangladesh finish their World Cup campaign on a high.
