Pakistan Cricket Team have announced their final 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales. Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz have made it to the final squad in place of Junaid Khan and Faheem Ashraf. Moreover, Asif Ali, who lost his daughter earlier today, has also made it to the World Cup squad in place of Abid Ali. Meanwhile, the selectors have retained Shadab Khan who missed the recently concluded ODI series against England due to illness.
Pakistan make three changes to their World Cup squad
Sarfraz Ahmed & Co have an uphill task at their hands after the recently 0-4 snubbing against top-ranked England. The batting has significantly well putting 300+ scores in all the games; however, it is their bowling which have failed to step up. As a result, the selectors led by Inzamam-ul-Haq made two changes bringing in experienced Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz in the squad. They have proved their abilities and the management will expect them to be at their top in the World Cup.

“There is no panic. I spoke to the captain and coach before taking these decisions,” Inzamam told reporters.
The Pakistani bowling failed to impress in the series against England, leading to calls to make changes prior to the World Cup. The management will have to work with their bowlers ahead of the practice games and test them before they play their first game on May 31.
“We are not bowling and fielding up to the mark but the way we are batting I am very confident for the World Cup…Our openers and middle order are scoring runs and we have to sort out our fielding and bowling,” said skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.
