Pakistan and Afghanistan will lock horns in the 36th match of the ICC World Cup 2019 at Headingley, Leeds. Afghanistan has had a disappointing campaign in the World Cup as they are yet to savour a win in this edition. Thus, Gulbadin Naib will like his team to end the World Cup on a high. On the other hand, Pakistan has done a fine job to come back into the World Cup. Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side has won the last two matches against South Africa and New Zealand to keep themselves afloat in the tournament.

Gulbadin Naib

The Afghanistan captain has promoted himself as the opener and he has done a fine job. The right-hander had scored 47 runs in the previous match against Bangladesh. Naib has thus far scored 174 runs.
Rahmat Shah

The right-hander has shown a solid technique with the bat. Shah has so far scored 157 runs in the tournament and would aim to deliver the goods.
Hashmatullah Shahidi
The southpaw batsman is the leading run-scorer for Afghanistan as he has scored 197 runs in the competition. The left-hander will look to continue his good form going.
Asghar Afghan

The former skipper hasn’t had the best of tournaments. In fact, the right-hander has scored 72 runs in the four innings. The right-hander hasn’t impressed with his performance.
Mohammad Nabi

The talisman all-rounder has impressed with his performances for Afghanistan. However, Nabi had bagged a duck in the previous match.
Samiullah Shinwari
The right-hander had a good match against Bangladesh. Shinwari scored 49 in the previous match which was his first of the tournament.
Najibullah Zadran

The southpaw batsman has been the most impressive of Afghanistan’s batsman. However, there is no doubt that Zadran should bat up the order.

Ikram Alikhil

The left-hander hasn’t not able to deliver the goods with the bat. However, Alikhil has done a decent job behind the wickets.
Rashid Khan

The leg-spinner had gone wicketless in the previous match. In fact, there were a lot of expectations from Rashid Khan but he could not stand tall to them.
Dawlat Zadran

The experienced seamer had scalped one wicket in the previous match. Zadran has taken six wickets in the four matches he has played thus far.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The mystery spinner has peaked in his performance in the last few matches. Rahman had scalped three wickets in the previous match against Bangladesh.
