South Africa Cricket team have named a strong in a bid to end their barren run in the ICC World Cup starting from May 30 in England and Wales. Popularly known as chokers, the Proteas will enter the tournament, not as favourites but have the pedigree to create major upsets.
South Africa have relied on the experience of Hashim Amla ahead of Reeza Hendricks. Amla will look to repay the trust shown by the selectors and if he gets going, South Africa will have a clear chance of progressing to the next stage. Meanwhile, Imran Tahir and JP Duminy will retire after the ICC World Cup 2019 and will be keen to put their best feet forward.

Faf du Plessis & Co will begin their campaign in the tournament against England on May 30 at the Oval.

Batsman to Watch
QUINTON DE KOCK
Quinton de Kock has been among the runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians. He has given the Mumbai franchise good starts and will look to carry this form going into the ICC World Cup 2019.
The wicket-keeper batsman has so far scored 393 runs from 11 games. The South African team management will hope that their star batsman to give them good starts in the marquee event. When on song, de Kock can demolish any bowling attack.
The Proteas cricketer will also hope to make this tournament his own.
Bowler to Watch
KAGISO RABADA
Kagiso Rabada is currently the best ODI bowler. He has been in good form off-late picking 23 wickets so far in the tournament at an economy rate of 7.83. Also, he is currently the highest wicket-taker in the IPL.
Rabada has also been consistent in the ODI in the last two years picking 63 wickets from 41 games. He will look to keep up the good work in the upcoming showpiece event and help South Africa break their barren run in the ICC event.
The young fast bowler will lead the pack of pacers comprising of Dale Steyn, Lungi and Anrich Nrotje which looks the deadliest in the tournament.
