In fact, the 1992 World Cup was Azharuddin’s maiden World Cup as captain. He also went on to lead India in the 1996 and 1999 World Cup. On the other hand, Virat Kohli scored a fine knock of 82 runs against Australia. Kohli also scored a good inning of 77 runs against arch-rivals Pakistan. In fact, Kohli is generally expected to get a big score if he gets past the 50-run mark.

Furthermore, Kohli scored 67 in the ongoing match against Afghanistan. Kohli was looking good for a big score before Mohammad Nabi got one to jump off from the length. Thus, the right-hander could not keep his shot to the ground and gave a simple catch to short third man.

Meanwhile, India was restricted to 224 runs by an impressive bowling performance from Afghanistan after Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Kedar Jadhav also played a good knock of 52 runs.
