India skipper Virat Kohli won millions of heart when he ran to celebrate India’s 28-run victory over Bangladesh with 87-year-old Charulata Patel who was present in India to support the Men in Blues. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya starred with the ball to defend 315 runs set by India after batting first. Former Australia cricketer turned commentator Brett Lee seemed impressed with Kohli’s gesture and took to Twitter to express his emotions.

Batting first, India banked on a century from Rohit Sharma and a fifty from KL Rahul to post 314 runs on the board. The openers added 180 runs for the first wicket before Bangladesh led by Mustafizur Rahman staged an outstanding comeback with a five-wicket haul. The Tigers staged a brilliant chase with Shakib Al Hasan leading the troops before Mohammad Saifuddin took over the reins. But an outstanding spell from Jasprit Bumrah sealed India’s berth in the top-four.

Virat Kohli thanked Charulata Patel and all the fans for turning out in huge numbers to support India. He also described him as one of the passionate and dedicated fans he has ever seen. The Men In Blues will surely want her on the stands in the upcoming matches as well.
