India’s veteran wicket-keeper MS Dhoni was able to take a one-handed blinder to dismiss Carlos Brathwaite. Jasprit Bumrah was able to move the ball marginally away from the right-hander. Dhoni had taken a step towards his left-hand side as he was following the angle of the ball. However, Bumrah was able to induce a thick outside edge and Dhoni then had to dive to his right to take the spectacular catch.

In fact, it wasn’t the best of days behind the stumps for MS Dhoni as the talisman wicketkeeper fumbled on quite a few occasions. However, Dhoni was able to hold on to the catch when it mattered the most.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni was able to add the finishing touches to India’s score. Dhoni got off to a slow start as he failed to find the gaps against the spinners. However, the experienced right-hander was able to change the gears in the fag end of the innings. Dhoni was able to get 16 runs of the final over to help India post 268 runs on the board.

The right-hander scored 56 runs from 61 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. On the other hand, Virat Kohli top scored with 72 runs for the Indian team.

Meanwhile, India’s bowling was able to tick the boxes. India restricted West Indies to a paltry score of 143 runs and thereby won by 125 runs.

Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he scalped four wickets. Shami had broken the spine of the West Indies’ top order as he took the wickets of Chris Gayle and Shai Hope. The gun fast bowler was right on the money and reaped fruits for his good work.

Furthermore, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal scalped two wickets each whereas Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya took one wicket apiece.
