The Windies have got off to a fine start against defending champions Australia in the 10th match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019. The Carribean nation has already scalped three big wickets to push Australia on the backfoot. Windies wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope plucked a one-handed blinder when Usman Khawaja threw his hands at a wide off-stump delivery by Andre Russell.

In fact, Khawaja was troubled by the short stuff from Oshane Thomas and Sheldon Cottrell. Australian skipper Aaron Finch was the first to go when he edged off Oshane Thomas to Shai Hope. David Warner could not continue his good form going as he played on the up against Sheldon Cottrell and gave a simple catch to the point fielder.

Furthermore, Glenn Maxwell could not handle his pull against Sheldon Cottrell and Shai Hope took another catch which ballooned to short fine leg. Meanwhile, Windies skipper Jason Holder won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Both Australia and Windies had won their respective opening matches of the tournament. However, Australia is tottering at 38-4 after the completion of eight overs.

Former Australian skipper Steven Smith and Marcus Stoinis are currently batting for the reigning champions. In fact, the Windies fast bowlers will like not like to take their foot off the pedal.

Meanwhile, the Windies bowling was right on the money in the first match against Pakistan. They had skittled out the Men in Green for a mundane score of 105 runs. Thus, they would like to get out Australia cheaply again and win their second match on the trot.

The Windies have put their noses in front and their fast bowlers are smelling blood. They have once again put the opposition on the backfoot with their accurate short pitch bowling and would like to continue their domination against the Australian side.
