This could be trouble for Imam-ul-Haq.

It is accused that Imam-ul-Haq dated seven to eight girls.

“So apparently Mr. @ImamUlHaq12 was dating 7 to 8 (that we know of) women and kept using them and manipulating them. He kept telling them the whole time how he’s single. Some of the screenshots attached from girl 1,” a Twitter user wrote attaching screenshots of the cricketer’s alleged chat.

“Since when dating or not marrying someone you promised became a part of #Metoo. I can’t see #Imamulhaq harassing or asking for pictures. Stop misusing this to defame someone when its consensual. It’ll lose worth & actual victim won’t get help! How this comes under #metoo,” another Twitter user wrote in Imam’s defence.

Imam-ul-Haq can even face suspension if these allegations are true. The PCB is likely to look into the matter and the truth would be revealed soon.

A similar incident had taken place when Mohammad Shami‘s wife Hasin Jahan had accused his husband of multiple affairs.

Imam-ul-Haq was the second-highest run-getter for Pakistan in the recently concluded World Cup. The left-hander 305 runs in the eight innings at an average of 38.12. The southpaw batsman scored his runs at a strike rate of 76.25. Furthermore, he had scored a fine hundred against Bangladesh.

However, Pakistan could not qualify for the semifinal stages as they finished at the fifth place in the points table. They had the same number of points as New Zealand but they could not go through to the last four because of a poor Net Run Rate.
