The PSL draft took place on Sunday, and all the teams looked to get their team combinations right in the draft. With players from every country except India playing in the league, team owners had their plans cut out. A new team Multan Sultans has been added to the league, and the franchise owner had already picked up Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard and Kumar Sangakkara in the pre-draft. The only missing link was a genuine spinner in the team for which the owners picked up Imran Tahir.

Tahir who was born in Lahore, Pakistan played for the Pakistan U-19 team before he migrated to South Africa. Before going to the Rainbow nation, Tahir also played in England County for Middlesex but did not enjoy much success. He played domestic cricket for five years before he got eligible for the South African team.

Playing for Multan Sultans Tahir will pair up with Shoaib Malik with whom he played in the Pakistan under -19 team. Tahir expressed his joy for playing for Multan Sultan om Twitter where he posted a picture and wrote, “I am very Ecstatic to be a part of @thePSLt20 with @MultanSultans in arguably one of the most competitive league in the world. Can’t wait to begin. #IssvaariSaadivaari”
