IND vs ENG: 'Talent Abhi Zinda Hai', Says Virender Sehwag After Rohit Sharma Fires India To Series Win

There are very few sights in the game which are as beautiful as Rohit Sharma in full flow. The India opener played one of the finest innings of his T20I career, scoring an unbeaten ton to help India thrash England by 7 wickets in the third game and win the series 2-1.

As usual, the Mumbai star showcased his effortless ease, making light of England’s total of 198 for nine with an unbeaten 100 (56 balls, 11 fours, 5 sixes). With the pitch not offering much help to the bowlers, Rohit looked comfortable throughout his knock.

India had started their chase on a good note, racing away to 21 inside two overs. However, India soon found themselves on the backfoot after both Shikhar Dhawan (5) and KL Rahul (19) departed cheaply.

But Rohit remained till the end to ensure, India end up on the winning side. He played his shots throughout which never allowed the required rate to go out of hand.

The right-hander reached his fifty off 28 balls when he hit Ben Stokes for a four in the ninth over. He completed his ton in the 19th over off 56 deliveries, as India chased down the total in that over only. Rohit’s stunning knock studded with 11 fours and five sixes.

As expected, congratulatory messages poured in from all quarters for the opener. And so how can one expect Virender Sehwag to remain quiet. The Twitter king in his own unique style took to the social media to hail Rohit. He also lavished praise on Hardik Pandya who took 4 wickets and scored an unbeaten 33 off just 14 balls to help India chase down the total without much fuss. It was Pandya who finished the game with a six.

“England ham sharminda hain, Talent abhi Zinda hai.  @ImRo45 , what elegance and clean hitting. 3rd T20I 100, many more to come. Great effort from Kungfu Pandya with both bat and ball. Well deserved series win,” wrote Sehwag.
