IND vs SL 2017: Indian Players Ratings For Second ODI

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first. Thisara Perera, the captain of Sri Lankan team, would have undoubtedly regretted the decision he made.

India’s captain Rohit Sharma scored his third double hundred in ODI’s as India ended their innings at 392/4 in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten at 208 and became the first batsman to score three double centuries and first captain to score a double ton in ODI’s. India won the match by 141 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 68 at the top of the order and shared an opening run stand of 115 with Rohit. Shreyas Iyer, in his second ODI, played beautifully for his 88 runs. Sri Lanka needed 393 runs to win.

He looked on course for his first hundred in ODI cricket but lost his wicket while accelerating the run rate. He scored his final 38 runs in a mere 13 deliveries.

In the bowling department, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up three wickets for 60 runs in 10 overs. Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets for the hosts.

Shreyas Iyer who was playing his second ODI impressed with a well constructed 88 runs innings and had opened up the competition for the number four slot.

Washington Sundar made his international debut in the second ODI and picked up one wicket of Thirimmane giving away 65 runs in ten overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 4/10

Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a decent match with the ball as he picked up the wicket of Pathirana. He gave away 40 runs in nine overs.

Jasprit Bumrah- 5/10

Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets for 43 runs in ten overs. He dismissed Gunathilaka and Akila Dhananjaya.

Yuzvendra Chahal- 7/10

Yuzvendra Chahal picked up three wickets in the middle overs and gave away just 60 runs in ten overs.
