India A vs England Lions 2019: 1st Unofficial Test, Kerala – Day 2 Review; It was a dominating day for the Indian team in the four-day game against England Lions. They have bagged all the sessions in the day in a convincing manner to make things fall in place. Navdeep Saina, KL Rahul and Priyank Panchal are the stars of the day.

After the dominating day by the team on Day 1, Indian bowlers responded well on Day 2. They started the day on a poor note by losing Mullaney after adding 6 runs to the overnight score. He was quickly followed by Lewis Gregory and Danny Briggs.

Out of nowhere, all of a sudden, the scorecard looked in favour of Indians. Navdeep Saini has been the chief contributor with the ball, who was blistering in the morning session. Will Jacks, who scored 63 was the 9th batsman to go before Zak Chappell.

Navdeep Saini finished with yet another 5-wicket haul in the domestic circuit. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur bagged a couple of wickets alongside Avesh Khan, Jalaj Saxena and Nadeem, who picked one wicket each to fold out England Lions for 340 runs.

KL Rahul-Priyank Panchal dominates the day:

In reply, KL Rahul started things off in a style. He played with utmost determination alongside Priyank Panchal, who came to bat at number 3. Eeshwaran failed to convert his good start of 31 when Zak Chappell cleaned him up.

The duo added an unbeaten 171-run partnership for the second wicket to end the day on a high for India. KL Rahul looked pretty solid in the middle, who took 182 balls to score his 88 runs. On the other hand, Priyank Panchal scored 89 off 141 deliveries.

At the end of the stumps, the solid partnership saw India trailing by 121 runs. It would be an interesting Day 3 ahead, as the declaration would make a massive impact with the game being a 4-day affair.

England Lions: 340-all out (Duckett 80, Will Jacks 63; Navdeep Saini 5/79)

India A – 219/1 (KL Rahul 88*, Priyank Panchal 89*, Chappel 1/28)
