The squad also witnessed the return of Kedar Jadhav while Shivam Dube earned his debut ODI call-up as Hardik Pandya continues to nurse his injury. India will have a tough battle at hand against a strong West Indies side led by Kieron Pollard. The giant all-rounder recently replaced Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite as the ODI and T20I skipper of the Caribbeans. The visitors had a good series against Afghanistan in Lucknow and will be keen to put the World Cup semifinalists under pressure.

Meanwhile, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium will host the first match of the series on December 15 while the other two will take place in Visakhapatnam and Cuttack on December 18 and 22 respectively.
