India Needs Hardik Pandya Back Before the World Cup – Ajit Agarkar
Former India National Cricket Team fast bowler Ajit Agarkar believes India needs Hardik Pandya back into their team before the World Cup. Pandya is currently serving his suspension for his controversial comments on Koffee With Karan. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is a regular member in the limited overs format for the Indian team.
However, Pandya will need to sweat it out to earn back his place in the side. Pandya was immature in his statements and had to pay the price. Meanwhile, Ajit Agarkar feels Rishabh Pant should also get a go in the remaining ODIs before the World Cup.
Ajit Agarkar said while talking with ESPN Cricinfo, “Hardik Pandya needs to get back into the squad before the World Cup. I don’t know, whoever who has to make the decision has to make the decision quickly. He hasn’t done a crime, he has admitted his mistake of making the crap statements. We need to move on and at least hand him his punishment. He has already missed three matches and he is going to miss five more. In fact, he hasn’t had a lot of cricket in the last two months and he gives you balance”.
Furthermore, Agarkar believes if Hardik Pandya goes on to miss the upcoming World Cup, then it would be disastrous for the player. Agarkar added that it would be ridiculous.
In fact, Agarkar said that by now Pandya’s punishment should have been decided. However, the former pacer believes India is not going to miss KL Rahul as much as they are going to miss Hardik Pandya.
Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul controversy is getting from bad to worse. Both of the players have accepted their mistake and have also apologized for their statements. However, BCCI, as well as CoA, is not coming with a final verdict, which is adding fuel to the fire.
