The members of the India ODI squad will be flying to South Africa for the first leg of limited overs series on January 24, a report in The Indian Express suggests. MS Dhoni, Manish Pandey, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav, Axar Patel are few of the members who will board the flight to the country.

Shardul Thakur, the other member of India ODI squad, will have an early arrival in South Africa as he has been flown to the country along with Delhi’s Navdeep Saini to bowl in team India’s nets ahead of the third Test and the limited overs series.

Dinesh Karthik too has joined the Indian team as he was called up to the Indian cricket team for the third Test in place of an injured Wriddhiman Saha.

The ODI series between India and South Africa starts on February 1. The ODI series comprises a total of six ODIs with the last game to be played in Centurion on February 16.

Team India will also play a three-match T20I series against the hosts. The three T20Is will be played on February 18, 21 and 24. Indian selectors are yet to announce the T20I squad.

Unlike the last series, selectors are not expected to give youngsters a chance, and many of the members of the T20I squad from the previous series will be dropped. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan will be few of the notable comebacks in the T20I side. Both of them were rested for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Presently, Indian team is playing three-match Test series against the hosts. The visitors have already lost the first two Test matches, which means that South Africa have already clinched the series. The third and the final Test match will be the sole opportunity for the Indian team in the ongoing Test series to set up some contest for the Faf du Plessis led side.

The third and the final Test match of the series will start on January 24 in Johannesburg.
