The Indian U19 Cricket team has suffered a major setback as all-rounder Divyansh Joshi has been ruled out of the ICC U19 World Cup. Siddhesh Veer will replace him in the Indian squad. The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) announced this on Friday.

“The All-India Junior Selection Committee has named Siddhesh Veer from Maharashtra Cricket Association as Divyansh’s replacement,”  stated the BCCI in an official statement.

Divyansh Joshi suffered a dislocated right shoulder during fielding against South Africa in the ongoing bilateral ODI series. The injury has ended all the hopes of the all-rounder participating in the ICC U19 World Cup which will take place in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020.
