India Tops the List For Most Victories After 100 T20I Games

As a format, Twenty20 International’s have witnessed India being a really dominant outfit. That was evident way back during the format’s inception when the Men in Blue stamped their authority across the globe to win the inaugural ICC World T20.

Since that historic victory against Pakistan, the Indian team has come a long way in the shortest form of the game.

India might not have won any more World T20’s after that, having ended up as runners-up in 2014 in Bangladesh, and as Semi-finalists at home in 2016.

However, one cannot disregard the side’s performances in other T20I games including bilateral ties.

Recently, the first T20I at Dublin against Ireland saw India playing its 100^th T20I. Coming hardly as a surprise, the Virat Kohli-led side has won the most number of games after playing 100 T20I’s.

With an outstanding 62 victories in 100 games, the Men in Blue stand right at the top in terms of matches won after 100 T20I’s.

One must notice that apart from the World T20 victory in South Africa, India also became the first side to whitewash Australia in a T20I series. Back then, they thrashed the Kangaroos 3-0 in their own backyard in 2016.

Interestingly, it was soon followed by a ruthless run in the 2016 Asia Cup. Eventually, it saw them lifting the coveted title in Bangladesh.

Close on the list behind India, stand the Proteas, with a tally of 59 victories after 100 games. The Proteas might not have won any World title, but one cannot ignore their performances in other fixtures.

Truly standing third on the list is Pakistan, with 58 victories, in their first 100 T20I’s.
