India vs Australia 2017: Retired Aussie Duo Breaks Television Sets, Laptops After Australia's Loss In 3rd ODI

While majority of the former cricketers and pundits resort to criticizing their teams for their poor performance, former Australia internationals Dean Jones and Brad Hogg certainly do not fall in that category. After Australia’s dismal run extended to yet another match following the loss in the third One-Day International on Sunday (September 24), the duo was seen breaking laptops, computers and television sets.

But before you all assume otherwise, let us tell you that it is not what you are thinking as Jones and Hogg did not commit any violence or breached law by breaking the electronic appliances. They smashes the objects in an Indore-based cafe where the customers are allowed to vent their frustration and anger by smashing products, kept for the very same purpose.

The cafe was opened this year and is studded with wide range of products that the customers are allowed to break while wearing safety gears. Right from laptops, TV, computer monitors, to cup-plates, glasses, and even punching bags are available for anger management.

The cafe named the ‘Bhadas’ cafe is owned by a local entrepreneur Atul Malikram and charges for breaking different objects placed at the cafe. Atul confirmed that the Aussie duo had visited the cafe before stating that the cafe did not charge them.

“After the match was over, Jones and Hogg reached our cafe and broke items available here,” Atul was quoted as saying by News18. “They spent around 30 minutes after the match and left afterwards.”

“They were our guests, so we did not charge anything from them,” added Atul.

Jones and Hogg’s frustration reached the boiling point after India thrashed Australia by 5 wickets to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. The defeat extended Australia’s dismal away run in ODI in recent times. The world champions were whitewashed 5-0 by South Africa last year and lost 2-0 against New Zealand earlier this year. And the way they are performing at the moment, it would not be surprising if they go on to lose the remaining two games against India.
