In one of those serious lapses in the technology, the ball tracker during the decision review by Aaron Finch has made to the headlines. There was an error in the Decision Review System, which was clearly evident on the big screens during the dismissal check. In between, the New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham makes his voice on the issue.

Getting into the details, initially, Aaron Finch was given out by the on-field umpire when Kuldeep Yadav trapped Aaron Finch leg before wicket. The Australian skipper went for the review in the hope of a reversal in the decision.

But, what was shown during the review was shocking as the pitch of the ball completely showed it wrong to what was witnessed with the naked eye.

In the first replay, the ball delivered by Kuldeep Yadav showed pitching in between the off and middle stump but in the imaginary marks of the ball, it completely showed in a wrong line, which certainly didn’t sit well with the fans.

Digging into Neesham’s tweet, it read ”Finch LBW. Are we just gonna ignore the fact that ball tracking had it pitching in a totally different place to reality? I saw it pitching middle, maybe even middle and off. Ball tracking had it pitching on the leg.”

Perhaps, this would be something, which needs to be taken immediate correction. Who knows whether it was the first time or already happened before, which went unnoticed. In between, the height of the ball hitting stumps has also been under question on numerous occasions.

As it happened:

Coming to the match, initially, after losing the toss, Australian openers Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja walked to the middle. They both displayed top-notch skills to add a fantastic 193 runs for the first wicket. Though Finch missed out a deserving century, Usman Khawaja reached his century.

Glenn Maxwell played a superb 47-run knock, which helped Australia put massive 312 runs on the board. In between, India lost three wickets with 27 runs on the board at the end of 8 overs.
